Case Study : UFC WMMA

Role : Branding, Art Direction, Graphic Design, Visual Design

“The women don’t put on exciting fights,” along with other stereotypes, were commonly heard by female MMA fighters—just one of many challenges they faced within their own sport. This project reimagines the visual identity of UFC’s Women’s Division and an event for an all-female fight card.

As a designer, I led the creation of branding assets—including promotional graphics, typography, and social media templates. This rebrand was rooted in the belief that these athletes deserve the same spotlight, recognition, and elevation as anyone else in the UFC.

The octagon is a core symbol in the UFC. For the Women’s Division, the traditional 8-sided shape was reimagined as a convex octagon—still familiar, but with a fresh form. The new shape resembles a star, representing the individuality of the women in the sport.
